C. Rieger Wood, III, DDS

I am a native Tulsan having graduated from Edison High School.  I completed my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma.  Upon graduation, I matriculated at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1981.  In 2015, I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.  

I have served as President of the Tulsa County Dental Society, as well as President of the Oklahoma Dental Association.  During my tenure as President, I felt it was important to create a project that brought dentists, dental hygienists, dental hygiene students, dental students and the private sector non-dental individual together to help those that cannot afford dental care.  Thus, the first OkMOM was held in Tulsa in 2010.  Since that time, I have Chaired the event twice in Tulsa and Co- Chaired it once in Woodward, Oklahoma.  This is one of the most rewarding activities I have ever participated.  I feel it is important to bring all these groups together from the dental family along with the lay community volunteers to help those less fortunate in need of dental care. Since the inception in 2010, OkMOM events have treated over 12,000 patients totaling over $8.7 million in donated dental care. It is a legacy I hope will continue for many years to come!

I was selected Alumnus of the Year for the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2011.  I have also been elected to membership in the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. I have also received numerous awards from the Oklahoma Dental Association including the Oklahoma Dentist of the Year in 2011.

 While attending the college of dentistry, I met my wife, Donna.  Together we have three sons: Riegy, Trent and Nicholas. Riegy is an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Trent resides in Indianapolis and works in residential real estate.  Nicholas works in Tulsa for ONEOK.  We all enjoy the lake activities in the Summer.  Donna teaches full-time at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and serves as Senior Clinic Coordinator for the Department of Dental Hygiene. I'm the Director of Operations of OU/Tulsa Dental Clinic at Schusterman Center in Tulsa and serve as a Group Practice Director, while maintaining my private practice in Tulsa.  I also have served on the Admissions Committee for the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.  It is our goal and desire to work with young developing clinicians to help them create sound clinical and ethical foundational skills; ultimately leading to the perpetuation of our professions in the years that lie ahead for future generations.  

Since 1981 I have maintained a private practice with the ultimate goal of not just achieving the absence of dental disease for my patients, but rather creating an optimal state of oral health and function.  My experienced professional staff is dedicated to educating our patients and achieving excellence in comprehensive family and cosmetic dentistry.  We are all here to serve our patient’s needs! Jason Weilacher, DDS and Family

Dr. Weilacher grew up in Sapulpa, Oklahoma before moving to Norman to attend the University of Oklahoma.  After completing a degree in Civil Engineering, Dr. Weilacher decided to pursue a career in Dentistry and was soon accepted into the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.  After graduating with honors from dental school, Dr. Weilacher found himself moving back to the Tulsa area to be closer to friends and family.

 Dr. Weilacher enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and two fur children.  He loves to travel and is especially drawn to the great outdoors.  If you want to get him talking just mention southwest Colorado.  He is also an avid sports fan, especially the Oklahoma Sooners.

I have been working in private practice now with Dr. Wood since 2011 and look forward to serving this community for many years to come.
